Crane for the transloading of bulk goods and general cargo at the Hagel-Süd terminal

Because there is no quay wall, our 8 t slewing/level luffing crane is positioned on a crane bridge with tracks, which extends approx. 40 m into the Reiherstieg. Seagoing vessels up to 110 m in length moor in front of the crane bridge; inland navigation vessels with a maximum width of 9.50 m and 100 m length moor parallel to the seagoing vessel under the crane bridge.

These factors present the ideal conditions for efficient ship-to-ship transloading because the distances are short and the crane operator has an optimal view of both holds from his position in the crane cab.

Inland navigation vessels with a width of over 9.50 m can moor alongside the seagoing vessel.

If a ship lot must be transported directly to lorries or carriages, or stored, the goods are ejected just under the summit of the crane bridge using a hopper and arrive on land via a protected conveyor belt system. For this, short distances and low drop heights also guarantee efficient and careful transloading. Via the conveyor belt system, the goods arrive directly at one of the two lorry loading stations or the company’s warehouse.
